Should counslers inform parent whose child is under the age of 18 that their child is being sexually assaulted

I believe that parents should know everything that goes on with their child especially when that parent is in their child life and taking care of them. I also believe that the parents should know because that child may not know how to handle the situation and nobody knows whats best for their child other then their parents
